And in other news… 10/02/2017

Editor’s note

What do you do when you are stuck in a difficult situation? I find it interesting to see how people cope in many different ways. Some people hide away and withdraw, some get angry, and some take it all in their stride. But, what’s the healthiest way to deal with stress? I don’t think there is any right answer, it all depends on you as a person.

However there are unhealthy ways to deal with stress, and I think we all know what those are. Perhaps instead of using negative stress releases, go do some exercise, read a book, weigh up your options. There are plenty of healthy and natural ways to lighten the weight on your shoulders. I know it’s easier said than done. – Sarah

‘I went this morning to NSSA House to register for the NEW Biometric Certificate of Life for Pensioners.  There were four people waiting to be served.  They were seen to very quickly and I got a very nice, helpful lady.  You hand over your I.D. I also took my telephone account with me as proof of residence (not compulsory) but it shows the correct name, address and spelling of name and road etc., you have a photograph taken.  You then have your forefinger and thumb prints taken of both hands.  You give your address and telephone number.  You write your signature on a pad on the desk.  The whole process took about 5 to 6 minutes.  It was very pleasant, and the lady I had was so nice and helpful’   LC
