Bulawayo golf and dancing

HI All, I went down to Bulawayo this week to see a few of my Softrite Payroll clients. Softrite also sponsored the Wednesday afternoon golf at Byo Country Club. The course is in good condition for this time of the year with the greens being very true for putting– little nap in the grass so just a case of working out the angles! On Friday afternoons they have a great turn out with all of the tennis players joining in for the regular 9 hole golf competition – very social event.

Les Clift has long been the ballroom dancing queen of Bulawayo helping many a top dancer become one of the best in Zimbabwe at both Latin and Ballroom. In the past few months she has suddenly had a resurge in interest after one of the mums asked Les to restart the dancing school at Country Club. On Friday there were about 30 youngsters ‘flicking a hoof’on the parquet floors under Les’ watchful eye. I have always maintained that Ballroom dancing is one of the most important social skillsthat kids should be introduced to before their gawky teenage inhibitions kick in.

I took a very short video of a few of them doing the jive and placed it on You Tube.
