I am sure you will all remember the tremendous community effort that went to making great strides in helping those people that were affected by Cyclone Idai in the Chimanimani Mountains early last year.
The current Covid 19 virus spreading around the world at ever increasing rates has, as we all know, reached our shores. We are all being put into a lockdown for the next 21 days. There are various people and organisations that are already starting to prepare for all kinds of scenarios that may play out over the next few months
Those of you that watch ZTV will have seen a donation being given to the Wilkins Clinic earlier this week by a couple of the Trustees of Zincat – Zim Covid Action Trust. I know a few of the members of that Trust and they have asked me to send out an email to see if anyone out there can help provide the following:
- PPE Material – Personal Protective Equipment used by Nurses and Doctors when dealing with Covid 19 patients
- Hospital type beds that you might have lying idle at home from a deceased relative or clinic / old age homes that have closed down.
If you have any of these or any other items that you feel would be usable in the fight against this Virus, please send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will forward to the appropriate recipient(s)
We are all in this together
