What are the benefits of Mat work in Pilates?
Carrying out mat work flows in Pilates helps strengthen the abdominal muscles that hold the core together.They also help increase flexibility as they lengthen muscles through stretch exercises.Mat exercises also target tight hamstrings that can lead to lower back pain, therefore by stretching the hamstrings your chances of getting lower back pain are reduced.
