MOVE FORWARD

As we officially put behind us the first half of 2021, it is time to evaluate where we are at. If you are satisfied with the way your life is, the path you are following, I urge you to continue doing more of what you are currently doing. At the same time, remember to stretch yourself above and beyond, to reach out to those who are not coping as well as you are, to be of service each and every day.

If, however, you feel a need for growth and change, then this is the time to release the brakes and really make the next six months’ count. Take some time to consider what is holding you back, what it is that you need to let go of in order to move forward.

The biggest culprit for our “stuckness” is fear. Fear is multi-faceted. Firstly, of leaving our comfort zone, even if it is not entirely where we would like to be. Secondly, when the “what if …” thinking sets in, we end up in a place of stagnation, even anxiety, at the prospect of change. We also fear failure, consequently, instead of taking that chance, we prefer not to act.

Action is better than stagnation. Any action, no matter how small will propel you forward, which will show you the right way. We do not know until we try, the consequences of what we are going to do. So, choose an area of your life you would like to improve or change, visualize what your ideal outcome would be, and take a small step towards making reality closer to your dreams.
