James Wilson – James Wilson beloved husband to Tracy Wilson and Father to Chelsea Wilson, Matthew Wilson and Savanna Wilson. Come and celebrate his life on Tuesday 17th  March at 2:30pm at Baptist Bible Church 6, Midvale Road Chisipite (off Enterprise Road) Please kindly bring a plate of eats for tea after the service.

MIKE KIMBERLEY – Mike KIMBERLEY husband of the late Rose and dad to Richard and Christopher – passed away on 03 January 2020 – a service to celebrate his life is to be held at Highlands Presbyterian Church on Friday 10 January 2020 at 11.00 a.m.

BRUCE KEEVIL– BRUCE KEEVIL PASSED AWAY ON THE 5TH OF JANUARY 2020.  A THANKSGIVING SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT MARY MAGDALENE ANGLICAN CHURCH AVONDALE AT 3PM ON WEDNESDAY THE 8TH OF JANUARY.

Jean Lillian Christian  – The Memorial Service for the late Jean Lillian Christian, who passed away on Friday 27 December 2019, will be held at the Dandaro Community Centre on Tuesday 7 January 2020 at 10.30am. Contact Sue Christian Bell on 0772-310-007.

Ronald Frederick Marks – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eng. Ronald Frederick Marks (89) at Pleasant Ways on Friday 3rd January 2020. Beloved husband to the late Ingrid, Father of Laurie, Andy, Gillian & Louise, Father-in-law to Shann, Sally, Julian and Andy, Grandpa to Rebekah, Timothy, Hannah, Christy, Steven, Richard, Natalie, Daniel, Deborah, Stacey and Michael. Pops in law to Dave, Zoe and Samantha, Great Grand Pops to Isaac, Joshua, Benjamin, Sophie and Olivia. He had a good long life and will be greatly missed. Ron has now gone to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus. To God be the glory. The Memorial Service in Celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday 8th January 2020 at 10am, at St. Mary’s Avondale Anglican Parish Church, Harare, followed by a bring and share tea in the hall. 

John Stuart Allen – The memorial service for the late John Stuart Allen will be held on Friday the 10th of January at 1030am. The Dripping Well, 15 Rossal Road, Greendale

Lidia Maddalena Barret – Lidia Maddalena Barrett, mother of David, Eric and Gary Barrett and grandmother of Renee and Glen, passed away at 94yrs old on Friday 10th January. Please join us today, 13th January, to celebrate her life. The service will be held at the EMERALD HILL CHILDREN’S HOME at 3pm. Friends are welcome to Tea afterwards at 8 Chelmsford Rd. Belgravia. A plate of eats would be appreciated.

Hugh Bowen Williams – Hugh Bowen Williams passed away peacefully on the 13th January 2020. Beloved husband, father and Grandfather who will be dearly missed. Please join us for a celebration of his life on Wednesday 22nd January at Avondale Anglican Church at 2pm and afterward for tea in the church hall (if you can please bring a plate of eats).

Heather Scruby – Memorial Service for Heather Scruby. Friends and family, please join us for a Service for the life of Heather who passed away on Tuesday 14th of January. The service will be held at Nazareth House on Friday 17th January 2020 at 11am followed by tea at 6 Wadham Lane, Ballantyne Park.

CAROLE WALES-SMITH (nee Garlake) – Carole died on the evening of Friday 17 January 2020. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday 8 February 2020 at 11 am.  Anglican Cathedral, corner of Second Street and Nelson Mandela Avenue, Harare. (Opposite African Unity Square).

Spud Martin (Terence John Mchesney -Martin)It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved husband and father Spud Martin (Terence John Machesney-Martin).  There will be a memorial service held at Highlands Presbyterian Church in the Gazebo on Friday 17th January at 3pm.  A kind and loving soul, who touched many lives. Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service to celebrate his life.  Tea will be served after the service in the garden.

Denise Marlene Barry – Memorial Service for Denise Marlene Barry. Friends and family, please join us for a Service of Thanks Giving for the life of Denise who passed away on Wednesday the 8th of January. The service will be held at Highlands Presbyterian Church on Tuesday the 21st January 2020 at 11am followed by teas and eats at the church.

Candida ‘Candy’ Dumas – The Memorial Service for Candida Gay Dumas will be held at Celebration Church 162 Swan Drive, Harare. The family would love for you to come and celebrate Candida’s life on Wednesday 22 January 2020. The service will start at 11am. We would appreciate your bringing a plate of snacks (sweet or savoury). Tea and coffee will be served. We look forward to seeing you all at this very special celebration.

MICHELLE TANIA LAING (Nee Boot) – Michelle passed away on the evening of Tuesday 28 January 2020. Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday 5th February 2020 at 2:30pm and Highlands Presbyterian Church, followed by tea on the verandah of the Club House at Larmenier Village, No 4 Ridgeway South. Michelle is remembered fondly by her husband Michael, Brother Peter, Sister Debbie and family.

Margaret Rose Nelson Memorial service –Friends and family, please join us for a Celebration of Life for the life of Margaret who passed away on the 31st of January 2020. The service will be held at St Mary’s Anglican Cathedral on Wednesday the 5th of February 2020 at 10am followed by teas and eats at the church.

Dr Peter Frederick Jack – Dr Peter Frederick Jack passed away aged 98 years on 3rd February at his home. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

John Griffin Pattison – John Griffin Pattison passed away in Bunbury West Australia on the 14th February.  His funeral will be held in Bunbury on Friday 21 February.  He was born on 24/4/1932.  He leaves his wife Dee and sons Stu and Dave and grandchildren Roddy, Nicola, Bryan, Murray and Riely and 7 great-grandchildren.

Golombick Bicky – It is with great sadness to let you know that Bicky passed away peacefully on Tuesday 18th February 2020. Much loved husband of Jenny and loving father of Grant and Marc. Granpa to Sarah and Matt, and Papa G to Gemma and Bailey. Private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Island Hospice will be appreciated.

DAVID LEONARD FROST 10 September 1928 – 4 March 2020 – Beloved husband to Christine, father to Peter and Nigel, Grandfather to Jessica, Alistair and Michael, died peacefully in his sleep.  A long life lived to the full as an Adventurer, Farmer, Development Property Manager and fervent advocate for social justice.  He loved the life that was given to him, never gave less than 100% and made a real difference in the world.  Thank you Dad for the strength, confidence, inspiration, love and guidance.  You will be missed by Peter, Nigel & Emma and the kids, the extended Lock and Frost families and the wider community.  A memorial service will be held at 1 Langdale Dr, Quinnington on Sunday 8th March. Time to be confirmed. 

ROSIER  –   Catherine nee Smith, beloved wife of the late Francis Rosier & loving mother to William, Simon, Gordon, Eleanor & her eight precious grandchildren who affectionately called her ‘Dove’ passed away peacefully in the UK in the early hours of Thursday 5th March, 2020.  Loving daughter of the late David & Jean Smith ex Little England Farm. VALERIE MAY EDMONSTONE – VALERIE MAY EDMONSTONE 84 years old. Our dearest mum to Hazel, Cynthia, Graham and Felicity, and grandmother and great- grandmother, has sadly passed away. Her Funeral Mass will be held: Friday, 6th March 2020. At 12 noon. St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 9 Jean Lane. Off Suffolk Rd. Strathaven, Harare. (Followed by Burial at Glenforest Memorial Park) * Also, a Memorial Service will be held: Sunday, 8th March 2020 at 2.30pm Fairways Old Age Homes Chapel, 31 Bodel Ave, Eastlea, Harare (Followed by tea and cake in Barbour House).

Mary Agnew Robinson (Moira) – 1951 – 2020 Our dearly beloved Partner, Friend, Auntie, God Mother and Granny passed away from Malaria on Sunday 8 March. Memorial Service this Thursday (19 March) at Highlands. Presbyterian at 10am. Please bring flowers to celebrate the beauty and life that she was.

Carol Anne Rambo – Passed away peacefully on the 15th of March 2020. Beloved sister to Chris, Bryony and Wally; mother to John L and Mick; grandmother to James, Jeremy, Alex, Rachel and Sophie. She will be remembered for her kindness, smile, grace, wit and sharp mind! The family have decided to postpone the celebration of her life until her friends and family can gather in a safer environment. At this time, we ask friends and family to take a moment/raise a glass to Carol at 4pm on Friday 20 March. 

Hazel RuggHazel Rugg passed away peacefully on 20 March, 2020.  Beloved Mom to Steven, Gillian and Paul, Mum-in-law to SallyAnn, SallyE and Malcolm, Granny to Amy, Kayla, Declan, Tristan and Bradley and loyal friend to many near and far. Mums warm smile, kind heart, sense of humour and deep love for her family will be remembered always. In light of current travel restrictions, the family have decided to postpone the official celebration of her life until we can all be together.  For friends in Harare currently, we will have a tea/refreshments gathering at the Dandaro Clubhouse at 3pm on Tuesday 24th March. Our sincere thanks go to the medical team who have so compassionately looked after Mum over the past 5 weeks – Drs Ngwende, Mandizvidza and Nyoni and the wonderful Nursing staff of the Avenues Clinic and Borrowdale Private Clinic.

Don John – It is with great sadness we announce that Don Jon went to be with The Lord on Sunday 29th March. After such a brave and courageous battle.  Loving husband of Lynn, special father of Charlene, Neil, Scott ,Kyla and loving Pappa to grandchildren, Shivvy, Connor, Nady, Noo, Taya and Rio. Stepfather and Papp to Sonje, Aubrey, Dyllan, Savannah, Warwick, Sarah, Imogen, Max, Cole and Caity. We will notify all who wish to attend a memorial Service in Harare once this virus allows travel and settles. He will be greatly missed. God bless.

Amanda Visser – It is with great sorrow that we have to let all our family and friends know that we have lost our beloved daughter Amanda Visser to cancer on the afternoon of the 2nd April 2020. She is now free from pain with our Everlasting Father. A great big thank you to Dr Auchterlonie for all he did for her since her motor accident in 1998 and now also in the last year and a half. I would also like to thank the residents of the Dandaro Bedsit for all the love and kindness towards Amanda while she lived there with her beloved carer of 20 years Naumi Chiwomba, who is an angel. Due to the lock down it will be a private cremation on a date to be decided on.

Peter Douglas Dorward – Peter Douglas Dorward died peacefully at home on Saturday 4th April, aged 81, after a long illness bravely borne.  Beloved husband of Janet, father of James, Nicola, Corinna and Bruce, father-in-law of Leigh, Richard, Graham and Shayne. Grandfather to 12, brother, uncle and friend to so many. A leader in the industry. His vision and his love and time for family and friends will be hugely missed.
