There is no doubt that COVID 19 has turned the world upside down, practically overnight, and that the winds of change are here. Nothing is, or will ever be, the same. What we must accept, however, is that change is an integral part of life and unavoidable.
Here is a fact for you: Stress and anxiety levels are in direct proportion to your resistance to change. That means that the more you resist change, the more you try to fight it, the more stressed and anxious you will become. So here is the thing, the time has come to take a good look at your life, evaluate your position and make adjustments where necessary.
The analogy of the sailing boat is perfect. You can choose to let your boat be at the mercy of the winds, not caring where you end up or you can use your sail to get you where you want to be by constantly adjusting the sail to the wind. The choice, of course, is yours. But if you want to thrive and emerge from this situation stronger and more successful, this is the time to draw on every resource at your disposal. Remember that the most valuable qualities you can cultivate in times of crisis are resilience and flexibility.
Over the next few articles, I am going to give you some ideas on how to make some positive and constructive changes in your life, so as to turn COVID time into an opportunity to grow and transform into a stronger, more resilient version of yourself.
