If you were in Harare last Friday morning, it could be described as rather cold, at least according to my standards. The air was crisp, and there was also some light drizzle in the air. With such conditions, one would naturally require something warm to soothe themselves. This is what led me to Alfresco at Honeydew Lifestyle Centre.
There is a certain charm about Alfresco which is quite hard to describe. In other words, this establishment has a rather simplistic aura about itself, making it seem comfortable and inviting without trying very much. For example, when you are in Alfresco, you feel compelled to relax even without trying to.
Considering the weather outside, a latte seemed like the most obvious choice. It was not only warm but also elegantly presented with a smooth aroma which wafted through the air every time I took a sip. Overall, it was a rather balanced beverage with no overpowering notes in any direction whatsoever.
When it comes to coffee, people have a wide variety of establishments to choose from. Some of these choices can be rather unique, while others simply provide their customers with what they want. In this case, it was the feeling of calm and relaxation that made my visit worth remembering.
On top of that, a little bit of drizzle and cold air enhanced the pleasant experience. All in all, Alfresco provided me with an enjoyable atmosphere in which I could sit calmly and enjoy my drink
Coffee fact: A latte is made with espresso and steamed milk, typically in a 1:3 ratio, giving it a smoother, creamier taste compared to stronger coffee options like cappuccinos.
