The Castrol 4×4 Jamboree 2026 was the place to be for anyone who loves engines, adventure, power, and a good dose of adrenaline. Held at Donnybrook, the event brought together 4×4 enthusiasts, families, spectators, sponsors, and some seriously impressive machines for a weekend full of action.

Every climb, dip, tilt and muddy challenge had the crowd watching closely, waiting to see whether the drivers would make it through smoothly or whether the terrain would have the final say. There were moments where the vehicles seemed almost impossible to control, only for the drivers to power through and leave the crowd cheering.

For car fanatics, this was definitely the place to be. Beyond the action on the track, there were also beautiful vehicles on display from brands and sponsors such as Croco Motors, Toyota by CFAO, Suzuki by CFAO and Chery Zimbabwe. Each stand had something special to offer. My jaw would drop at one stand, and then before I could fully take it all in, I would find myself almost saying “wow” out loud at the next. The machines on display were bold, polished, powerful and made to impress. There was so much to admire, from rugged 4x4s built for tough terrain to sleek vehicles that showed off the latest in motoring design.

The sounds of the engines, the dust, the mud, the screaming fans and the tension from the trials combined in making the event one to remember. The Castrol 4×4 Jamboree made me realise just how many people have a love for adventure. It was not only the adults who were drawn to the action, but also the young boys who may not be old enough to drive for a few years yet but were already holding onto their little plastic 4×4 toys with so much excitement. Perhaps that is where it all begins, growing up around the thrill, the noise, the mud and the machines, until one day they become daring enough to sit behind the wheel and compete themselves.

By the end of the day, it was clear why this event continues to attract so much attention. It offered excitement, entertainment, beautiful cars and plenty of moments that had the crowd holding their breath. For anyone who loves cars, action and the thrill of seeing powerful machines put to the test, this was a weekend well spent.
