Hi All

Every now and then I like to spend an early evening just chilling by myself at an outdoor restaurant with a good book in one hand and a beer or a glass of wine in the other. 

The World of Books situated at the back of Highlands Park conveniently stays open till 6 pm every weekday. They have a great selection of books from all sorts of unusual authors.

I popped in there after work a few days ago and walked away with a couple of interesting “Whodunits” that I couldn’t wait to start reading. Hence my immediate change of plans for the night stopping off at a local diner and ordering a bottle of tasty Craft beer. 

This scenario developed into an order for a light meal of noodles and a carafe of cold White wine. At the end of my sojourn my young waiter approached me with the very reasonable bill. Much to my surprise he addressed me with “excuse me sir but why do you like reading  so much?” 

The poor guy works long hours far away from home so has little time to read. How sad is that? I explained how reading allows me to completely switch off for a couple of hours as well as unconsciously noting the habits, interactions and ways of life for all manner of individuals. 

We, at Bindu Media, have several bookcases of once read novels that anyone can come in and swap whenever they have a spare moment. I’ll make sure we drop off a few free books with Denzil this week.
