Some places you visit once, and some quietly become your regulars. Luna’s Restaurant, located at 3 Ridgeway North, is definitely the latter for me. I’ve been a few times now, and I always return for two main reasons: consistently lovely service and a genuinely good cup of coffee. My last visit on a Sunday morning was a little too packed; it completely slipped my mind that after 11 AM, Luna’s turns into a buzzing hub for families rolling in after church for their Sunday brunch.
It didn’t end up being a significant thing for me to notice at all. I was completely immersed in my own little world, courtesy of Rhonda Byrne’s book, The Secret. This is one of those books you can never read too many times. This is actually my third read! In fact, I once exchanged my copy at the Bambazonke book exchange, and it gave me so much stress hoping it wouldn’t get snapped up by someone else. I ended up reading the replacement copy I had picked up much faster just so I could swap it back. After that, I made a firm decision: The Secret is one of those books I will absolutely not be giving away!
Okay, I digress… back to Luna’s! Because I had just come from the ZEF Walk for Rangers and was absolutely burning up from the morning sun, an Iced Latte had to be my drink of the day. It was the perfect, refreshing pick-me-up. If you pop into Luna’s and find yourself staring at the menu not knowing what to pick, take this recommendation from me: you cannot go wrong with the Chicken, Bacon & Avo Sando or the Shakshouka & Wors. Both are absolute winners for a weekend brunch.
