For those of you who are looking for a special weekend combining a night out in the bush with a bit of exercise the
following morning might want to drive out to Gosho Park just past Marondera this coming Saturday.
The Ryan Collett Memorial Triathlon and Run is taking place at Springvale House (Junior school) this Sunday. There is
a wide range of events and participants can choose to either enter individual sports or complete triathlons. The swim will
be in the Peterhouse pool whilst the run and ride are around the Springvale and Peterhouse girl’s grounds.
Overnighters will be camping in Gosho Park which is situated on the outskirts of Springvale. The organisers are laying on
a big pot roast for Saturday evening but you must book online if you want to be a part of the feast.
These out-of-town events are always good fun with lots of kids running around and getting up to mischief the night
before. You can alternatively drive out there early on Sunday morning – the first event only starts at 8 am with it all wrapped
up well before your return at lunchtime.
